Meet Ann

A Parent Coach Who's Been There and Gets It

Whale Watching_edited.jpg

Hello!

As a Parent Coach, I bring honesty and a deep understanding of the complexities families face today. My background allows me to offer insight and support to parents who are seeking a different way forward—one that aligns with their values and the unique needs of their children. Together, we explore what parenting looks like in the context of your specific family, and how to move toward greater connection, confidence, and clarity.

My Story

(2022) Profile Pic2 circle.png

I’m a trained Parent Coach with over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. I hold a Master’s degree from New York University and am a licensed Creative Arts Therapist and Board-Certified Music Therapist. My clinical work has focused on supporting children with emotional and developmental challenges, and I’ve worked extensively across psychiatry, pediatrics, and therapeutic school settings.

Originally from New York, I created and ran a group private practice and developed clinical programs throughout the NYC metro area. I’ve presented my work in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia, and I currently serve as an adjunct faculty member and clinical supervisor in the graduate department at NYU.

My husband and I have raised two neurodiverse boys - one of whom is autistic with additional special needs. Our path has involved advocating for needed services, navigating school systems

and securing the resources our children have needed throughout the years. This personal path inspired me to become a certified Parenting Coach and today I offer individual, couples, and group sessions in private practice.

Whether you’re seeking connection with your child, feeling overwhelmed by day to day demands or navigating early diagnosis, I offer honest support that is grounded in real-life experience.

When I’m not coaching, you can find me directing a children’s theater or making music—creativity feeds my soul. I love painting rocks, sculpting, and adding quirky treasures to my garden - which really mostly consists of pachysandra and rocks, since I’m not much of a gardener. My favorite times involve a snowstorm, a good cup of coffee, and a gripping spy novel, surrounded by my husband and our boys.

I want to help you find compassion and grace for your own self as you struggle along your way or simply need a little extra help. You don’t have to be a perfect parent and you don’t have to have all the answers. You just need to be willing to find answers alongside your children.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

I’d love to learn more about your family and how I can help guide you through the challenges you're facing
